 CAMPER INFORMATION Dress Code The following dress code for males and females has been adopted by the Barbourville Pentecostal Youth Camp Board. The following are NOT permitted: - Sleeveless or capped-sleeve shirts
- Long sleeve shirts with designer slits
- Muscle shirts or cut-off shirts revealing the trunk of the body
- Low front/back clothing
- Mid-riff tops
- Form-fitting shorts or pants (spandex, bicycle, etc.)
- Blue jeans with holes that reveal skin
- Shorts and skirts above the knee
- Skirts or dresses with slits above the knee
Please note: - Pajamas are not to be worn outside of the barracks.
- If girls wear dresses/skirts while participating in recreational sports, shorts must be worn under them.
- No leggings are to be worn unless the dress/skirt comes below the knees.
- Rule of thumb: If in doubt, don’t wear it.
Dress Code for Church Services - A.M. Service: Campers are allowed to wear shorts, keeping in mind the above-mentioned restrictions.
- P.M. Service: Girls are to wear dresses, skirts, gauchos, or dress capris extending below the knee. Modest pant suits can be worn by the girls during the P.M. Service. Boys are to wear blue jeans or casual dress pants. No shorts, split skirts or capris for the boys and girls respectively. Girls are not allowed to wear pants on the Tabernacle stage.
Expected Behavior for Church Services - Maintain a reverent attitude during all services.
- Campers are not allowed to leave the service without being accompanied by their counselor. Please use the restroom, get a drink of water, etc. prior to the service beginning.
- Please do not bring gum into the Tabernacle.
What to bring… Clothing: - Daytime activity clothes for 6 days
- Church clothes for 5 nights
- Underclothes for 6 days/nights
- Shoes (tennis, dress, and shower)
- Sweatshirt or jacket
- Bathrobe (to wear to and from the shower area): length must be below the knee
Barracks: - Sleeping bag and/or twin size sheets, blankets, or quilts
- Pillow
Hygiene: - Towels
- Washcloths
- Soap and Shampoo
- Deodorant
- Toothbrush and Toothpaste
- Hairspray / Gel
- Hairbrush / Comb
- Sunscreen / Sun block
Miscellaneous: - Bible
- Paper / Pen
- Umbrella
- Phone card
- Sports equipment (baseball glove, basketball, etc.)
Please note: BPYC will provide basic sporting equipment. Be sure to label your belongings with your name and telephone number. - Camera
- Spending money for concessions, crafts, offerings, camp store, etc.
($75.00 recommended) DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING: (If these items are brought to Camp, they will be confiscated!) - Firearms or other dangerous weapons
- Illegal substances
- Tobacco products (cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, etc.)
- Fireworks
- Cellular Phones
- Portable audio/video devices, PDA’s, CD’s, DVD’s, etc.
